Blue Heron On Ashville Bridge Creek

I played tag with this guy for a while, in typical fashion it would continue up the creek, only to have to fly further up the creek as I would eventually catch up. The bird was initially behind part of the tree thinking I couldn’t see it, but that gave me enough time to get the camera out and get the great picture.

New Cape Henry Lighthouse

The “New” Cape Henry Lighthouse, Built in 1881. This light house replaced the”Old” Cape Henry Lighthouse, completed in 1792.

Bald Eagles On Back Bay

Osprey and Chicks

Osprey and Chicks on the Western branch of the Lynnhaven River, the chicks look like they are close to fledging. I usually am on a kayak when on the water, but today I was fishing, and I don’t normally get this high of an angle.

Border Crossing

On the border on Princess Anne Road…

This is essentially the most Southeast border crossing in Virginia… I have noticed that Virginia only really welcomes you on real major roads, and not so much on secondary roads, where North Carolina welcomes you everywhere…
