The Destiny of Lynchburg on Jefferson St in Lynchburg Virginia. This whole block was interesting, it appears that this area was at a time an attempt to make a touristy night spot, but failed. Some interesting history here…

Barge Graveyard

The barge graveyard on the North Landing River in Virginia Beach. In this ox bow there is the remains of 30 or so barges, as well as several other newer vessels. Every time I go through here I see things differently, even thought things here change very slowly.

Desert Road Suffolk

This is an interesting old house on Desert road in Suffolk Virginia. It is houses like this that really make me think about what was in the past. This house once was someone’s pride and joy… Now it just sits in the weather rotting away, I always think about when or what was the tuning point for places like this, did all the children find jobs in the city and move away, was it a bad stretch of years and the farmer couldn’t survive, or did they just decide to build that 4,000 square foot home a quarter mile down the road…

New Cape Henry Lighthouse

The “New” Cape Henry Lighthouse, Built in 1881. This light house replaced the”Old” Cape Henry Lighthouse, completed in 1792.

Sand Dolphin
